We consulted with Kurzhaus Design in the planning stage of our Cape house renovation. They were extremely talented and made recommendations that we otherwise would have missed, well outside the normal contractor grade work. The planning went so well we awarded the renovation work and again the results were beyond our expectations. The craftsmanship is outstanding and to date the joints are tight and the work still looks new. I was out of the country for most of the work however found if easy to communicate with Kurzhaus on any changes. Kurzhaus was the right design build contractor for us, we have contracted them for a recent pergola addition and again the results exceeded our expectations, we would highly recommend them.

Kurzhaus built two houses on one property in Orleans MA in 2009-11, which we bought in 2011. One of the houses is a total restoration of a 150 year old house and the other is new construction. The quality of the design and construction is excellent with numerous customized features and custom carpentry. Since our purchase, we've had Kurzhaus build an outdoor shower, expand a screened in porch and build and install a gas fireplace with custom mantel, soapstone surround and built in shelves and woodwork. All their work is of the highest quality with great attention to design and detail and is done in a timely basis with appropriate pricing.
